Are there really strict rules we need to follow to be able
to say we are eating healthy? No. Everything that is strict is short-lived because it is unsustainable in the long run.
Any extreme restriction or waiver of certain foods may be
temporary.
My advice is to think carefully every time you decide to
start a diet and ask yourself what you really want to achieve. Let's not lie,
losing 10 or more pounds is not a difficult science, it is a science to
maintain that achieved body weight. Only by reducing the total amount of food
and calories that we take into our body can we achieve our goal, ie reducing
and melting fat. There is a difference between good ideas for a healthy
lifestyle and those that serve only to empty your pockets and put you in a
state of even greater dissatisfaction.
Remember, a healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle do not mean
expensive groceries.
Maintaining a healthy weight and body requires a proper diet
with a temporary reduction in calories and regular physical activity that is
enjoyable and interesting for you and your pace of life.
Three to five meals a day
Smaller meals, several times a day. Do not forget about
snacks. An apple or a low-calorie cake is my suggestion for a delicious snack.
Water and low-calorie drinks
Get hydrated! Drink at least 2 liters of water during the day.
In the morning, drink lemonade with lukewarm water or water with fresh mint
and cucumber. Water is your best friend.
Fruits or vegetables at every meal
Raw, boiled, baked or as you like it most, eat it at every
meal. Fruit smoothie for breakfast or salad combined with meat for lunch.
Simple, fast to prepare, and above all healthy.
Healthy fats
Eat healthy fats. Eat nuts, avocados, eggs, fish, and cook with olive oil. Healthy fats from these foods help reduce bad cholesterol, give your body energy, improve brain function and keep you full after a meal.
Eat as varied foods as possible. There are countless
vegetables, types of meat, and fish as well. Make a weekly menu, and include as
many different types of vegetables, meat, fish, and fruits as possible.
Remember, the key is in a varied diet, not in giving up certain foods.
